Summer is expansive...

Summer is a time of growth and expansion. The garden is in full bloom under the summer sun providing long hot days. Summer fruit - berries, plums, peaches, nectarines, melons - shower us with treasures. Though a short lived season summer fruit is bursting with antioxidants to give us a boost. Excess can be make into jams or frozen for winter desserts.

Summer vegetables are water dense to keep us hydrated during the hotter months... cucumber, lettuce, celery, zucchini and the flavoursome tomatoes, corn, summer squash and French beans.
